First things first: The application for Fall semester 2017 semester is available!

The application deadline for Fall 2017: June 15th, 2017.

and I just wanted to share some information about the International Transfer Students admissions process here at UMD.

Here is what we need from you:

  1. Application for admission
  2. $50 application fee
  3. Official high school transcript with graduation date posted or secondary leaving certificate
  4. Official college transcripts
  5. Financial Certification
  6. TOEFL or IELTS scores

Where should I send my application materials?

High School Records and Transcripts

Official high school transcripts with senior year (or equivalent) courses must be issued by the school in a sealed envelope and mailed to the University.

English Language Proficiency

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is required if English is not your native language. TOEFL scores must be sent electronically by Education Testing Services (ETS) – code: 6873.

Minimum scores required are:

    • TOEFL – Written: 550, Computer: 213, Internet (iBT): 80
    • IELTS – 6.5

Applicants who are otherwise admissible, but not yet fully proficient may be admitted with one or more language courses required. Minimum scores:

    • TOEFL – Written: 520, Internet (iBT): 68
    • IELTS – 6
